should i get my baby the h1n1 shot?

her doctor keeps pushing it at me when i take her in. but i dont know if its a good idea. my baby gose to a nusery during the day and one of the worker there said her kids doctors dont think its a good idea because there has not been enough studies on it. i so confused on what to do

  • The shot isn't even proven to work to protect against the virus. There is little to no science on the safety and our genius government has signed off on protections for the companies who make the h1n1 vac so they can't be sued for making a vaccine that makes people sick.

    Look, i don't like this shot. But, keep this in mind, even if you get it, it won't guarantee you won't get the virus. Secondly, because they aren't swabbing everyone anymore, it's tough to get accurate numbers on this flu and therefore make an informed choice as to get the shot or not. I'm impressed one doc had the guts to say that to a patient. Good for him!

  • There has not been one adverse effect of getting the vaccine. It has been studied. You would be a lot better off to talk to a medical professional than to ask here. There are so many people here opposed to vaccines in general and this one in particular to get a real, informed opinion. Do your baby a favor, talk to the doctor and ask him your questions.
