When buying shoes for little ones...

do you go by the measurement when you have there feet measured, or do you go 1/2 size up. For example you have the childs feet measured and they tell you size 12, do you buy shoes in that size or do you get 12 1/2 to give that extra room to grow?

  • I usually go up a 1/2 size since her feet are constantly growing. I have her try them on first to make sure shes not gonna fall over when walking lol Usually its enough room for growth and still comfortable

  • Ask specifically if they are recommending a size 12 or if they are measuring a size 12. If measuring, try the bigger size, but remember it has to be able to stay on the foot so too big isn't going to work either! lol

Put the shoe on and put your thumb across the toe of the shoe. If there is that much room between their toes and the end of the shoe, get it.
