ONE MORE name change question!!!

Can I change my first name while I'm at the social security office to change my last name? (just got married) Is it going to cost me money to change either?

  • I don't think you can change your first name there...?? Pretty sure you'd have to pay for that through the court house.

  • No it should not cost at the social security office.
    I tthink you can change your first name.
    You would have to ask them.

  • After a divorce no, at marriage just notify SS and driver license or use www.legalzoom.com    on your own through a lawyer can be up to 700.  I plan to change my name soon both first and last
