Is scooting a bad idea to naturally induce labor? Someone suggested it on cafemom.

and what about light jogging, like even on the wii? .....lol ...i know i know...im just getting real impatient

  • You can find things to get yourself distracted...
    It might be a great lesson for your other children-- to learn about childbirth being a big, natural experience, not something predictable.
    They can help you write letters to the baby (draw pictures), make meals to stock in the freezer, shop for easy to prepare foods for the pantry, get laundry done, collect neighborhood take-out menus on walks around, read Big Sibling books together, interview birth and postpartum doulas together...
    etc!

  • you can jog.. might not be a good idea, but its your body do whats comfy. if your really impatient... masterbate with a dildo that vibrates, that should get things going...(just be honest)

  • yah..ive tried everything, and have been walking alot today...lots of pelvic pressure, but nothing crazy yet...the waiting is getting intense....when i say scooting......someone told me to cross my legs like indian style, cross my arms...and scoot around on the carpet....almost like a dog rubbing his ass on the carpet...LOLOL

    You want to induce because you're having pelvic pressure/waiting is intense/you're impatient?
    What can you do to alleviate your discomforts and distract yourself/pass the time?
