How long were you in labor?

I was only in labor for about four hours... My son was born two and a half hours after I got to the hospital... Lately I've been hearing about 30 hour labors, and to be quite honest it's not something I really want to think about... So I was wondering how your labor went, and if it was the same for the second child (well not the same, but ya know)....

i've heard 2nd children are a bit easier that the first.I only have one and she was 18 hours.I think they take as long as they are going to take,you don't really have any control over it,unless you go for caesarian!

I suspect though that I was in early labor for one or two days prior and didn't really pay attention.

i just have one child, and my active labor was about 8 hours. :)

Well my first was a c-section, I only had early labor. She was breach. My twins were early 8 weeks. I had no first stage labor, 4 hours of hard active labor.
