For those of you counting the days

till Obamas health care is implemented. Just how much can you afford to pay for this insurance? Do you have the wiggle room in your budget for anything else? What number would make you regret your decision of being for this proposed bill?

  • We really can't afford to buy anything else with our budget. We will still be without insurance.

  • I just want to add something..did you realize if you do not purchase insurance and the government (of they know whats best for you better then you do) decides that you CAN afford it by their standards..then you will be fined and or jailed..it is in the bill they would be making it MANDATORY

  • For those who think they will pay a little more taxes, but will get health coverage free of cost, it will be a shocking awakening.

$15,000 a year in premiums, maybe a little less if your fall into the subsidized group, PLUS deductibles and co-pays....   Ouch!

  • This is probably a stupid question but im going to ask anyways. My husband is in the army we get free health care. Will the plan start making us pay? Everyone thinks that if your in the army you get paid alot, you really dont. We could be able to afford 150 all together per month.

  • BTW, we are self-employed, and pay for ALL of our insurance and medical expenses ourselves. We pay only a fraction of what the government option will cost.

  • That is what is frightening. It's what the government decides you can pay. Do you really think they will take into account your expenses? Things like student loans, child support, or alimony? They certainly don't now when it comes to CHP+, medicaid, food stamps, LEAP, etc.

  • Tnmom, some people don't wanna believe the truth. This is the bill the Democrats wrote and it is gonna cost a fortune!  Some people wanna continue to believe in fairies and Santa Claus.
