  • 1 can of milk. Water just makes it nasty.

  • I love tomato soup made with milk, extra can of tomatoes and topped with fresh basil and cracked pepper.  Pair that with a grilled mozzarella cheese on french bread!

  • We always make it with milk because it is creamier and I get some extra calcium in the kids. Tuna fish sandwiches is our choice with it. I have a neighbor though that puts out a platter of salsa and shredded cheese and guacamole and sour cream. Each member picks what they want to put in or on their soup and she serves quesadillas.

  • I feel like Paula Dean meets white trash, lol...

we use milk only if we have to.... prefer to use 1/2 & 1/2
top with an enormous dollop of butter
    crumble crackers

  • When I was little we used milk and had grilled cheese with it. Sometimes we would put mozzarella cheese and pepperoni in it too and made "pizza soup".

Now the recipe I use to make the soup has milk in it and I serve the soup with grilled cheese still.

  • hibbingmom - that sounds gooooooood! Well, the butter part, lol!

I usually use half water, half milk - hubby prefers milk, kids prefer water, so this pleases them both - whole milk, btw. With grilled cheese. Rarely anything else *in* it.
