  • Talk to your doctor or their nurse. Tell them what is happening. Maybe they can get you a different medication. Chewables? Another suggestion might be next time getting an injection. It is once and its done. I had a child that refused the medication and we did that. Not as a punishment, but we just couldn't get them to take the medicine. After that we never had the issue again. Some medications are thick and grainy, it makes them gag. Why do they give kids stuff like that anyway?

  • If you've tried all that it sounds like back to the pharmacy.... a new flavor or else a shot of flavor goo in it of his choosing

  • You could also give it to him with those plastic syringes that you used to use when he was a baby.

  • Plastic syrigine in the back of his mouth (cheek) and hold his mouth closed. It will force him to swallow.

  • Swaddle him in a sheet like you would a newborn baby hold his head back and squirt it in the back of his mouth with a syringe (Do only a small amount at a time..) hold his mouth and nose closed... He has to swallow, don't let go until he does that way he can't spit it at you. I've had to do this to my son right many times and it always works.
