Isn't it getting pretty bad when China is questioning US spending?

Guess what? It turns out the Chinese are kind of curious about how President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform plans would impact America’s huge fiscal deficit. Government officials are using his Asian trip as an opportunity to ask the White House questions. Detailed questions

  • Lol! That's great. Although we owe them quite a bit of money!! I would be concerned too if someone borrowed a bunch of money from me and was going on an enormous spending spree!!

  • LOL- The Chinese live off of our spending. Who do you think buys their cheap wares? Without the US market they're sunk. If the Chinese are worried about the US hcp, it's because they're afraid for THEIR OWN COFFERS China better find another buying for their shite-middle class American has gone broke-

  • Yes, Sisteract, China is worried for good reason. However, if they stopped making cheap-ass shit, the poor in the U.S. would be disproportionately hit. Not everyone can afford name-brand clothes and household items. Shut down China and Walmart, and the poor would see a huge decrease in their standard of living, as would the middle-class but to a lesser extent.

     For a short time, only.

Buying WM shite keeps the poor, poor forever.

The poor are UNDEREMPLOYED or UNEMPLOYED- WM only contributes and perpetuates that. Read the book, Take This Job and Ship It- a great read on the economics of it all-

  • Hasn't China been lending money for YEARS? Any time the US requires emergency spending for the wars or disasters, they turn to China.

Ooops, that's looking past your nose again. I know you all have been in Rip Van Winkle mode prior to Jan 20, 2009.
