  • slice onions for the bottom, mix together salt/pepper/garlic powder/onion powder/paprika and rub into the meat. pour in some red wine and a little water, cover and let it cook for a couple hours - depending how big it is.
You can also mix together a can of jellied cranberry sauce, one cup of red wine and one tbsp of onion soup mix. pour it over the brisket and cover. cook for a couple hours then slice and put it back in the liquid to finish cooking/heat up. YUM!

  • BBQ Brisket -

4 pounds brisket of beef, salt and pepper.
¼ Worcestershire sauce, 1/2t sage, ½ cup sugar, 1t celery salt,
    1/2t Tabasco sauce, ½ c catsup.

Liberally salt and pepper the meat. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat until sugar just melts. Pour 1/3 of the sauce into the bottom of the roasting pan, place brisket on sauce. Pour over remaining sauce. Cover and cook in 275° oven for 4 ½ hours. Chop meat into shreds and serve on hoagie rolls.
    Serves 16-20.
