How much does/did your 4 month old baby weigh and how tall?

My 4 month old weighs 17.1 lbs and is 27 inches long. Everyone that sees him thinks he's much older than 4 months. I'm not sure what the average height/weight is for a baby this age.

  • My son was 16.5 lbs and 27 inches long at 3 1/2 months.

According to the chart (which by the way is crap) my son was 95% and 115% (height). Yes he was considered a big boy. He was a healthy and happy baby so I did nothing different.

We nursed on demand and so far at 22 months he is still healthy and a pretty happy toddler.

  • My youngest was 13 lbs, 24 1/2 inches at 4 months. The older 3 I would have to look up, but they were all pretty to his size.

  • Oh - 13 lbs was in the 25% and the 24 1/2 inches was between the 25-50%

  • My kids had their chunky stage from 4-8 months. The rolls on their legs had rolls on top of those, it was cute. All 3 of them weighed about 22lbs when they were 4 months. They stayed between 22-25 lbs from 4-8 months, then they started moving a lot more and got taller and leaned out. They stayed in the 99 percentile in their weight class from 4-8 months and I think they were around 28 inches tall. The DR kept in consideration that my husband is a large guy.

My boys are now 3 and poor things are tall with long legs, long arms and a skinny waist. What a pain to find pants that fit.

  • @ 4 months my son was 18.3 lbs & 27 inches tall.he's now 6months old & weighs 22 lbs & is 30 inches tall. His dr said if he was on formula hed have to be on a diet bc he's a very big boy. And when I nurse him in public people have actually said to me "don't u think he's a little to old to b nursing."
