Attorney General Holder, "we are at war." Why then, are the terrorists being given a civilian trial?

On the news right now....Holder is testifying before Congress. The above is a direct quote. I will post a link as soon as one is available.

  • I really don't understand why we're wasting time and money on these animals. Bullets are cheap, easy and quick.

  • Why a trial at all tn? If they're terrorists, they're terrorists, and they should be eliminated.

Even if it can be argued that we're terrorists to them when we're on their territory.

I don't think we can 'shoot to kill' because of international laws. Troop have to accept the first shot, and survive the hit, then they can shoot (to kill). Otherwise all they can do is detain.

  • If you are talking about 9/11, it's because we were NOT at war when it happened, so it is considered a crime. A disgusting crime, but a crime nonetheless. The war only started as a result of the attacks.

  • But aren't we in Iraq because of OIL and didn't Desert Storm also have something to do with OIL?The whole thing has been about OIL since the 1980's. How did we get to this point in time, butting in ,going to war if it wasn't all about OIL? It is naive to say we are helping the people over there, when we are killing. They kill us,we kill them. I'm sure not going to say anything about what kind of trial they have for the Gitmo detinees. WHat differece will it make? Do any of you Conservative ladies think you are really knowledgable enough to decide? LOL.
