How much formula should a 8 week old baby take, and how often?

is 6 oz. every 3-4 hours too much?
(Sometimes he only takes 4 oz)

  • That sounds about right. That's what my son was doing at that age.

  • Give him as much as he will take... Babies will only eat as much as they can take in, regardless of what alot of people say.

  • my son takes 3 ounces every 2 hours , but i also breastfeed him in between lol

    he's got a good apetite .

    i'll say ur baby is right too , as muc as your baby takes !

  • feed on demand! every baby is different! If your baby is hungry keep feeding... unless he is puking it all back up of course! LOL

  • That sounds about right. Every child dictates how much formula they want and how often. No child will take the same amount, as they all require a different amount. Your child will tell you when they want more or when they're finished.
