  • Study after study has shown that children who are taught abstinence only have earlier and less safe sex than children who are taught complete sex education, including birth control. The states that mandate abstinence only have the highest teen pregnancy rates. Definitely pass teach your children your values, and teach them to protect themselves. Ten minutes with abanana and condom may save your child's life.

  • without judging research this. You can find it at or just google passport to purity. I don't care about stats. As long as the parents are involved - and really involved - and God is in their lives - that is all you need. Off course you teach them about safe sex and birth control -weather you promote it or not they will find out about it, but you must encourage abstinence and not teach that it is ok to have sex before marriage - because it's not.

  • I'd only do it if I really wanted a grandchild soon because nothing is more likely to lead to teen pregnancy than that sort of program.

  • What's wrong with sex before marriage if you're in a loving, committed relationship?
