has anyone ever took a paternaty test??

i just want to know if you know the guidelines on after you swab the mouth with a swab, how long can you wait after its all swabbed to send it in?

can a swab be saved for a month?
a week?
or cant it be saved at all?

  • I can't tell you about paternity tests specifically but I will say that with any test involving DNA it is best that it be analyzed as soon as it can be to prevent the DNA from getting degraded and affecting the accuracy of the results.

  • It can be saved DH had a paternity test when my SS was born. Then the state kept it and used the same sample when this loony b*tc# (another of dh's exes) tried to say he was the father of her baby. So they can be saved but they also need to be stored properly.
