What kind of fruit do you buy?

I used to buy only apples, bananas and oranges, but realized the nutritional value of other fruits and have been buying them. What do you buy?

  • I don't buy it all year-round, but watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes (all colors), bananas, apples of all varieties, mangoes, pineapples, kiwi, raspberries, strawberries (though I prefer getting them from a pick-your-own), blueberries (we also get some from a u-pick in Michigan, from hubby's aunt), peaches, nectarines, pears, avocados (are they a fruit? lol), starfruit sometimes, pomegranates, plums, various citrus (oranges, tangarines, grapefruit, etc), I know there's more but I'm having a major brain fart right now! My kids love all fruits.

  • At various times, I buy apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, kiwi, watermelon, strawberries, occasionally blueberries. Some of them we all like, others only 1 or 2 of us like.

  • We eat what is in season, plus whatever I've put by from our garden during Spring & Summer growing seasons (Fall, too, but we don't get much). I still have some strawberries from the garden in the freezer and apples in storage that should keep until late December, possibly mid-January. Once we get some raspberry canes into the ground, we'll have fresh & frozen raspberries to eat, too. The pear tree isn't fruiting yet, but possibly this Spring it will, so we're looking forward to that.

  • my staples are bananas, apples oranges and strawberries. I buy whatever fruit is in season, I also buy canned or frozen fruit. My son loves dried fruit too. I actually had fresh pineapple the first time on sunday and it was awesome. I like canned pineapple, but never thought to buy one fresh, then I had it at a restraunt and love it. I like to put banana, strawberry, pineapple, and melon on swewers for bbq's
