How much should I feed my son daily?

My son will be 8 months tomm. He weighs 28 1/2 pounds and is 29 inches. He wakes up at 7am, drinks a 6 oz. bottle, then at 9am eat breakfast consists of formula (6oz) with mixed rice (4tablespoons) 2 fruits, after eating he will polish off the bottle. 4 hours later(1pm) another 6oz bottle, 5pm dinner, formula (6oz) with mixed rice (4 tablespoons) 2 veggies, and polish off that bottle, then a bottle at 9pm and then goes to bed. Is this too much for him, or too little.?

  • honestly. All babies are different. If he is eating then let him eat. He will only eat if he is hungry. As long as your not loading him up with sugar and snacks then he should be just fine.

  • That doesn't sound like much compared to my guys. They were eating 3 meals and 3 snacks a day at that age (table foods). They finally dropped down to about 36oz of formula per day at that age, too.

Their average amount of food per meal was roughly the equivalent of two stage 2 jars, if I remember right. (diced up pieces of our food)

  • your baby will tell you when he is full. as long as your feeding him healthy foods and snacks he should be okay unless your pediatrician reccommends otherwise.
