About how many hours did/does your one month old sleep?

  • My first daughter slept very short naps during the day at that age, and very short stretches during the night... but she was colicky and at 1 month we were in the throes of it.

    My second slept I kid you not 21 out of 24 hours most days. I thought something was wrong with her she slept so much. She's got a sparkling personality and sleeps well but not more than average, I'd say, now at 14 months.

  • It varies. He'll sleep 1-2hr stretches between feedings (he's always freaking hungry LOL) but then he'll take a good 4-5hr nap at least once a day, usually after his early morning feeding (so he'll eat at say 6am & sleep until about 10am).

  • My DD will be a month on Saturday and she sleeps anywhere from 4-6 hours between feedings.
