  • First it is important for you to know how long your menstrual cycle (MC) is. So yes the first step would be to start counting day 1 on the first day of your period. The last day of your menstrual cycle will be the last day before you start your period again. So if your MC is exactly 28 days long and you started on Sept 1st; according to your cycle your next MC would start on Sept 29th. To figure out the day you would ovulate count backwards (about 14 days) from the last day of your cycle. This is known as your luteal phase. Most womens luteal phase if your MC is 28 days long is 14 days. So the day you would ovulate would be Sept 15th. If you have a longer or a shorter MC then you would have to adjust the days you would count back. Hope this helps!!!

  • yes. start marking down a calender when your period begins and ends. then to calculate your cycle length you count from the first day of your period to the first day of the next period.
