  • my DD (1 1/2) won't sleep without one. Once she's asleep she moves all around so she never stays on it.

  • Wow, I honestly cannot remember!
I know they used a pillow by the time they were 2 1/2 years old when I transitioned them to a twin bed, but I don't know if I placed one in their crib or not.
My granddaughter is 9 months old and does not use one yet.

  • DS is 2 and still in a crib. I had always planned on introducing a pillow when he transitions to a bed.

  • I don't know about "need" but other then my oldest my other kids started using them around the time they turned 1. They either used this really old squished down one we had (it was maybe 1" thick by then) or a travel pillow (my 7yo finally gave it up a couple months ago after almost 6 years of use).

  • My son started using a "pillow" when he was 1ish. Its in the shape of a dog. And he calls it his rufus. He dont actually stay on it bc my children have seemed to get sleeping habits from me. They move around, toss and turn, talk, sing etc. And yes I do all of that. Im lucky my husband thinks its cute.

  • My son is 15 months and we haven't given him a pillow yet. I'm worried that he'll use it to step on and climb out of his crib (he is quite a climber). He uses mind when he lays in bed with me, but when he falls asleep he doesn't stay on it.

  • My pediatrician told me "after a year." So I guess it's up to the child at that point.
