  • There is no average. There are many women both ways - you don't know until conception has occurred. Sometimes second pregnancies are conceived with no trouble and first ones too. Other times every pregnancy conception is hard still other times first conceptions are somewhat easy, fast and second times are tough. I have one sil who had no problems conceiving but had problems carrying to term. Another sil had problems conceiving and no problem carrying to term.

I've heard elevate legs and hips after sex and also have a new baby pee on your bed helps conception. Maybe become aware of your ovulation mucus through a kit or visually.

Whatever your situation is I wish you well.

  • it has to do with several issues, plus luck. how old are you? do you or your husband have fertility issues? are you over or underweight? are you generally healthy? have you been on medication that can delay or cause problems with conception? I'm sure the list goes on. Personally, I got pregnant with the first in the first month and this pregnancy, I got it after one night. But I have friends who are still trying and its been four months. it really varies based on all this stuff and sometimes it just takes a while. try to have sex every other day- its the most recent study that says this will best help your chances. good luck!

  • Average time for a healthy, fertile couple is 3-4 months, doesn't matter what pregnancy.
