toddler advice

my dd is 17 mos old..and she wont sleep in her toddler bed anymore..se used to love it..she'll only sleep til 1 or 3 in the morning in it and she'll come crawl in bed with us..hubby and i both work long hours during the week so neith one of us really feel her until she kicks us in the middle of the night...so i've been putting her in the pack and play where she'll sleep all night..until now...i want her to sleep all night in her own bed in her own room (before her last virus in august she was sleeping through the night)..how can i get her to do that?????? we just got a gate for our upstairs to block the stairs so her do stays open so she doesnt wake up when we check on her..which, in return, makes it easier to get to our room..advice would be great..she loves to play "nite-nite" but wont go to sleep on her own..OO, she is on a schedule, and bathtime at night, even with the lavender bath, wakes her up so i can't do that.

  • MIne did this for a while. I ended up putting a baby gate up and letting her cry it out for a bit. She would just get up and sneak into bed. I wouldn't realize she was there until later. With the baby gate t her door, she'd cry for 5 -10 minutes then go back to bed. Some night's she'd get sly and say she had to go potty but when I took her she'd pee just a tiny bit so she could say she went then ask for mommys bed. She got over it. Now she insists on sleeping in the guest bed (twin) rather than the toddler so she's moving up again. and no more baby gate.
