  • Jesus was Johns disciple that's why, & John was John the baptist. Why treat Jesus differently from all of johns other disciples?

  • Jesus asked John to baptize him. Normally John only baptized those that had sins to be "washed clean of" but in this case the baptism was meant to signify that Jesus was being washed of his old life and ready to start the job he was sent here to do. Prior to being baptized Jesus was simply a man, a carpenter like Joseph. However he was baptized in order to end that life and start a new.

I think that's the best way I know how to answer... Hopefully it makes sense... I don't know how else to word it...

  • Quite simply, Jesus was baptized so he could enter into the Melchizedek priesthood so He could be the High Priest.

  • To be cleansed even though he was pure already and to set an example for us sinners.

Jesus was Johns disciple that's why, & John was John the baptist. Why treat Jesus differently from all of johns other disciples?

Because in reality he is the savior, he is the one, is the light, he is the one who died for our sins....

    BECAUSE HE WAS DIFFERENT!!!!

Jesus is the Son of Man He is our light and Salvation, He is the One, He is the way!

  • That's your opinion anon: 4:22

I was a religions major, & i certainly believe that Jesus was Johns desciple, & not the other way around. I do believe he dies for our sins, but i do not think he is the one & only savior.

Of course he is different, but he certainly is not the only way. How can you mock gods creation? God is not so stupid to give the whole entire universe 1 single solitary way to be saved & go to heave. That is a joke...
