  • But Jesus isn't the only thing we need. We need to follow the 10 commandments all of them including the sabbath one. We need to obstain from unclean meats and alchohol/coffee/tea. We need to go out and show out fellow brothers and sisters God's love and show our faith to God by doing good deeds. Because faith without works is dead. Also we must love God, if we just go through the motions but do not love God genuinly then that's not gonna save us.

The bible doesn't say that we have to do those things in order to be saved, as Christian's we should do these things but they aren't requirements for salvation, it is impossible to have a sinless life like Christ that is why he died so that through him we may be pure in the eyes of God. Being a SDA you are relying on works to save you and they won't. I will always urge you to trust God ask him to show you the truth seek his truth by your own study of the Bible not with any religious person that can cloud the truth with their own perception of the Bible, Pray and trust God to show the truth and He will, after all He is more powerful than any doctrine tha contradicts His word. I pray that you continue to search God's Word daily to show you truth :o)

  • I respectfully dissagree ilovemyboys21. We need to do those things to show God we love him and have faith. No these acts wont save us but if we do not show our faith then what we have is dead. Faith without works is dead. IF we don't follow the 10 commandments then we don't love God or our fellow man. Also to abstain from unclean meats and drinks is a message straight from God. He asked us please don't there's plenty to eat and drink that won't harm us. We should really be eating like we are in Eden agian. Fruits and veggies and nuts in their purest state. But cooked is fine too. God wants us to be healthy and happy. The avegrage SDA lives 7 to 10 years longer then the avg person. Might be something to think about :) How does our doctrine contradict God's word?
