explain Jewish baptisim to me please

  • There is no baptism in Judaism; that's a Christian thing.

    Maybe you should elaborate on your question? Perhaps explain what you are referring to?

  • When someone converts to Judaism, they go to a mikvah (sp?) which is "like" a baptism, you go in and say prayers and then come out.

    Also, women go to the mikvah every month after their period, but it's just a cleansing, not like a baptism..

    Other than that, if you are born a Jew, there is no baptism

    Hm, sounds like baptism to me!
    Everything Catholics do is found somewhere in the bible before the coming of the messiah. Where else would John the Baptist have gotten the idea??? Christ made it sacramental.
