  • We didn't decide. We got stationed in Hawaii. We got pregnant while we were still in the hotel. We had been there about a week or so. Same thing happened with #3. We got stationed at Ft. Hood. Got pregnant while still in the hotel.

  • My first 2 are about 3.5 years apart. That was years ago and the World Health Organization was recommending waiting 2 years before ttc. Now they recommend 3 or more years for the health of the mother and the baby.

  • I was young 17 when I had my first. So I waited 51/2 years to have my second.

  • Well, we wanted another when DD#1 was 3 or so, but I miscarried, then miscarried again a few months later. Since I'd had another miscarriage (ectopic) before the baby, I'd had enough and figured that at least I did have one. Well, ten years later (and 40 lb. lighter) I got pregnant again. My two girls are six weeks short of ten years apart. Yup, God has a sense of humor.

On the plus side, they're amazing together. On the minus side, I'd given everything away.

  • We didn't decide. He was an oops. Actually he was our anniversary baby. I got pregnant the day after our 1st wedding anniversary. He was born 9 months later.
There are 15 months between our oldest 2 kids.

  • Between 1 and 2: 16 1/2 mos.
Between 2 and 3: should have been 19 mos. but she was stillborn 4 mos. early
Between 2 and 4: 31 mos. (he was born on his sister's due date, 1 year later)
Between 4 and 5: 5 days shy of 16 mos. (I had a 5yo, almost 4yo and almost 16 month old when he arrived).
