Painting a nursery brown/blue

We just found out that we are having a boy! So I really want to do a blue/brown theme in the nursery..the question is can I do that with a oak color crib and furniture?

Good choice on colors! It depends, the wood going with the paint colors. It depends on the shade and tone of the colors. And the wood. Like, warm colors should stay with warm colors. Congratulations!!

    Congratulations!
I should think the wall colors and furniture will look very nicely together.

We did my granddaughter's bedroom in pink and brown and she has a Cherry colored wood crib that looks so pretty against the pink wall color.
We painted 3 walls brown and an accent wall light pink.
How will you be painting your son's room?

I want to paint the entire room a light blue then have a chair rail with blue/brown stripes under the chair rail. Brown is the new black these days!
