how much caffeine is ok to have while breastfeeding?

Is it ok for me to have like one can of dr. pepper a day or is that too much?

  • I've allways had coffee regularly... through pregnancy and nursing. I have 4 kids and had not had any issues related to it....

  • depends on how sensitive baby is. my 2nd son would wake more at night if I had any amount of caffeine. My oldest son it didn't affect. Here is a link that tells how it affects baby at different ages durring breastfeeding
