When is a good time to move my turkey from freezer to fridge to thaw? PIOG

My turkey is 16 lbs and I want it thawed by Thanksgiving mid-morning.

Would today be too soon to place it in the fridge to thaw or have I put it in too late?

Put it in the frig Tuesday....
If I forget to pull it out a few days early, I will let is set in a pan on the stove at room temp for a few hours and then put it in the frig until the day I cook it...

LOL...kjrn79....yes, actually. I'm taking the 'average' of all the answers and I'm thinking that by putting it in the fridge this morning will work just fine.
If it defrosts a day early it won't get hurt sitting in there for another day.
I also remember the 'innards' staying frozen a lot longer than the meaty part of the bird, right?
I really do appreciate all of you helping me out. ♥
