How do I boost my metabolism?

  • Your body goes into sleep mode when you do, and your metabolism needs a kick start to get it going. Eat breakfast every morning, that'll get it going. Eat about 5 meals a day, rather than 3 large ones. Cardio will keep it going as well.

  • Along with PP. Make breakfast your largest meal since your body uses the most calories early and then dwindles thru the day. Taper off how much you eat thru the day and make supper the smallest meal. also they recommend 30 minutes of cardio a day but you don't have to do it all together. Make it into 3 short 10-15 minute workouts even if it's just walking and getting your heart rate up.

  • Lean tissue burns more calories than body fat, so build up lean tissue using weights and endurance exercise.

  • as Bmat said, The *ONLY* way to permanently raise your metabolism is to build lean muscle mass...aka EXERCISE!!!
