Where can I take an old laptop to see if they can do anything with it?

  • There may be local programs that you can find out about on websites for your local newspaper, radio stations, TV stations, or waste removal or recycling program. There may be people on your local Craigslist wanting them. Where I live there is a man that repairs laptops and gives them to families that have a member that has to travel to another city for cancer treatment so the person can do research and keep in contact with their family.

    You can do a google search for places that will buy them or recycle them.

  • OP- I got it off freecycle. I want to see if it can be fixed so I can use it.

  • Just go to a computer repair shop. Ours broke down and we were told it wasn;t worth fixing ,and that it would be better to buy a new one. Good luck though,.
