Do you believe in the "eye for an eye" mentality?

IE, if someone kills someone, they should be killed? Or if someone steals a car, they should have their car taken away?

    Another Ghandi:

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Think about that in reference to your question ;)

  • "An eye for an eye" wasn't a call to vengeance, it was a call for justice and making the punishment fit the crime. Before the code of Hammurabi, they'd take your life for an eye. So yeah, I'm all for fair punishments.

And no one say "common usage." Just because a lot of people say it doesn't make it correct.
