i saw the question on how many books in the bible---would have put this there but thought you all might like it. any thoughts??

  • The problem is that God never spells out the specifics, that is quite often what we are looking for.

  • You can find anything you WANT to find, in any religious text, if you just twist the truth hard enough. You have found what you wanted to find. Congratulations. It doesn't make it a reality. It doesn't make it anything. To me the fact that the bible is so unclear and sometimes contradictory ALL the way thru makes it impossible for anyone to find the "specifics" that god supposedly spells out. It is so awash in ambiguities! It isn't even good mythology!
