What do you usually have for thanksgiving dinner?

This is our 1st yr cookin i have no idea wat to make!

  • this year we are having a small ham with pineapple, a turkey lil smokies, stuffing, green bean caserole mashed potatoes, yams rolls and a fruit tray. not to mention all the alcohol and egg nog!!

  • 2 turkeys each cooked a different way, A ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, chicken and dumplings, Dinner rolls, a bunch of different cakes, pies and cookies. Chili beans, sweet potatoes.. Im sure im missing some stuff... We've also got up to 60 people each year so we cook ALOT!

  • turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, 2 or 3 veggies, some kind of pasta dish (pasta roni usually) or rice a roni, polish sausage (family tradition), rolls, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, canned cranberry sauce (the kids like the jelly kind), pumpkin pie and apple crisp.

  • Keep it simple. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, greenbean casserole, cranberry sauce and gravy. Don't try to make to much the first time. If you want and have time try yams and another vegetable. You will also need pie and whipped cream. You can always make the pies a day ahead or buy them. I always buy cool whip.
