What are the odds of having a false positive pregnancy test?

  • I've always heard you can never have a false-positive, only false-negatives. If the hormone is there & is strong enough, it will be detected.

  • if the test isn't expired, and the result is read within the time frame, i think "false positives" are chemical pregnancies/early miscarriages.

  • I had a false postive home test....but it was many years ago...about 18 I think! LOL....I'm sure the tests are better now!
