Banana cream pie?

I want to make a banana cream pie the day before thanksgiving and was wondering if that was okay to do instead of making it the day of...does anyone know if it will turn brown making it a day ahead of time? Also does anyone have any good recipes for it?? I went to allrecipes.com and found a good one i'll try but if anyone has a yummy one i'd love to try it! Thanks in advance xoxo

  • Absolutely make it the day before if you can, because the pie will need time to set and that takes at least a good 6 hours in the refrigerator after cooling completely on the counter. Don't put it into the refrigerator before it has completely cooled to the touch on the counter (especially check the bottom of the pie plate) because if you do, you risk ending up with a soggy pie bottom, soupy creme pie or bad condensation on the top of your meringue (if you are putting a meringue on top, that is).
