weaning of baby please help

my baby is 6 months old and i could really use some tips on how to wean him of im about to go back to work.thanks

  • Well you can nurse and work just get a good pump and check out your state laws as to what your employer has to do for you. At the minimum they HAVE to provide certain breaks and you can pump in the bathroom or car if need be. That being said if you really have to wean then drop one feeding a week so you don't get mastitis and give LO a bottle of formula to replace the feeding you drop. If LO won't take formula then you will need to mix formula with expressed breast milk and slowly reduce the amount of breast milk in the bottle. Good luck and kudos on making it longer then most women in the USdo.

  • Weaning is done by dropping a feeding a week till gone, starting with the least preferred feeding. All there is to it.

    Now, there are options for you. You can pump at work. Or you can NOT pump and merely nruse at home, fromula when you're not. That woiuld be the simplest method.
