Are there other Christians that will attend church on Thanksgiving day?

We are Catholic and your Church is having a Mass on Thanksgiving morning.

Anyone else going to church on Thanksgiving?

  • no, our church isn't having a service on thanksgiving day..although, i think it'd be a nice thing to do, i don't think it'd be very populated..most people are either out of town, like we will be, or too busy with relatives. my mother's church had a service tonight, rather than tomorrow night, for those very reasons. i think its a wonderful idea!

  • mommymeg03, The Catholic churches in my area offer church every day.I live in a large Catholic city and can right off the top of my head think of 4 different times I can go to Mass on any given weekday. I have about 4 different options of Eucharist adoration 24/7.

Not that going to church during the week makes me better or those that don't go worse. I just wanted to let you know weekday Mass for Catholics isn't unheard of.

  • Our church (not Catholic) switched from Thanksgiving morning to the night before a few years ago. The service is much better attended on Wed. night than on Thu. morning. I however won't be there, as it starts at my kids' bedtime.
