1 year old with Yellow Diarrhea

My friend's daughter is one and just began having yellow, watery diarrhea. She said that it looks like mustard. They started giving her regular whole milk about 2-2.5 weeks ago. Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Maybe teething, a bug, etc?

Any help would be appreciated!

  • If it has a nasty smell like you've never smelled before.....rotavirus.

She may start vomiting in a day or two.

  • Could be whatever stomach bug my 2 1/2 year old has... diarrhea and vomiting for her. But they should ditch the milk until the diarrhea is gone and offer water as much as possible, and pedialyte if necessary to keep her fluids in there.
