  • Let's see, take 21#, multiply by the number of people you are serving, subtract the # of leftovers, divide by 27.....

um, no. I think the first answer was better.

  • Depends which turkey cooking camp you're in. If you do it 500 degrees for a half hour then turn down to 350 for the rest of the time, about 3ish hours - best to just use a thermometer, though. Take it out when the thermometer hits 160, then let it rest for at least 15 minutes before you try to cut it.

  • The correct way to cook a turkey is 325 degree at 20 minutes per pound. It will take 7 hours to cook it so that it's moist and juicy. Cooking at a higher temperature will dry it out. For poultry the internal temperature should be 165 degrees in the thickest part of the turkey which is the thigh.
Don't forget to tent the turkey with foil. Remove the foil that last 30 minutes to crisp and brown the skin.

  • Cooking at a higher temperature will dry it out.

So will cooking it at a low temp all day. Start high and it self-sears, turn it down it finishes cooking.

    Like I said...depends which turkey camp you're in ;)

  • I use the reynold's wrap bag to cook it in. It makes it so moist and cooks it faster.
