Not drinking water?

Does not staying hydrated really cause premature labor?

  • Yes and other problems too. Staying hydrated is extremely important throughout pregnancy. Your baby needs you to drink water.

  • Yes being dehydrated can cause contractions. You and the baby both needs LOTS of water.

  • most definitely. being dehydrated can make any muscle cramp (did a fundraising walk this summer and had cramps from toes to butt in one leg because I got dehydrated), and a cramp can lead into a contraction.



    if you find yourself really dehydrated try drinking a bit of a gatorade or powerade - but don't over do it. enough to balance the electrolytes and then catch up on your water.
