He's eating his ass off. I guess he had a hot spot but now he's chewing on it soooo much it's raw and I'm afraid it is going to get infected. He's got a huge bald spot.

Check him for fleas because that could have caused the hot spot in the first place. I would also see if you vet carries Neopredif powder because that is excellent for hot spots. If they don't you can put either baby powder or gold bond on it to help dry it out. I would just go get a Elizabethan coller either from the vet or pet store so that he can't chew on himself. I would get him into the vet though becuase hot spots are cause by several differant things and if you don't stop the cause the dog will continue to get them
