Do observant Jews celebrate July 4th?

Does an observant Jewish person celebrate the 4th of July? how about memorial or labor day?

  • I wouldn't see why not. They have nothing to do with religion. It's like asking if an observant Christian or athiest or whatever celebrates those holidays.

  • Some do, some don't. The Lubavitch tend to not observe American holidays, though other Orthodox are more likely to.
