  • A pub is a bar--can be a sports bar or have live music. Themes vary. You'll need to call to find out what it is you're looking for.

  • I know PUBS in the UK usually have their own sports theme going.

You can bring the kids, for dinner but they CAN get rowdy, It's more for the adults.

Pubs DO have live music. If you know the name of a pub then call ahead and ask or look them up online.

  • i used to always go to pubs when i was 19, (thats the legal age here) and it depended on the night on what was going on, some nights they had live music, some nights karaoki, some they had games, some nights there was nothing. pubs are not clubs!! the one i used to go to closed at 2..or 3..i dont remember.

  • A pub is a "Tavern", or type of bar.

Pub is short of "Public House", which is what they were called in England (and still are).  An American "bar" or "pub" is usually regulated to those 21 and over. In England, you can take a child into a "Pub or Public House", because they were traditionally considered to be community meeting places to cuss and discuss issues.

  • A Pub is a public house licensed to serve alcohol in the UK.   The landlord and his family live in the pub.
