What ways do your children warm your heart?

It warms my heart when my 6 month old dd flashes me her big gummy grin when I walk into the room. My 3 yr old dsd warms my heart when she asks me to read her a story and when she comes up and gives me a big squeeze and tells me she loves me. I feel so blessed to have them every day.

  • My kids are full grown adults, but they still warm my heart when I see what wonderful human beings I created, and their thoughtfulness and sweetness towards our family. Family to them comes first and foremost and it looks like I achieved my goal.

  • My kids are adults now (29 & 27). It warms my heart every time they hug me, call me "Mommy", tell me they love me, and tell me they're glad I raised them the way I did.

I think that's the ultimate reward for everything we put into our children. You're truly blessed and I hope that when my girls are adults they tell me the same thing!

  • DS1 says the cutests things (he's 6) like he promised me that when he got his dollar from Nana (for getting green dots all week) he would use his two dollars (that he was saving) to buy me a new car.

DS2 (21 mo old) will climb in my lap and either lay there, or take my hair and play with it/ put it on his head, or kiss my fingertips. He also melts my heart when DS3 is crying and he'll either rock baby's swing or pat him on his back and say "Shhh baby..."

DS3 (7mo) tries to climb my leg... or when he just gives me that goofy lil two-toothed smile...

  • When my so n (16 months) suddenly stops playing and runs over to me and gives me a great big hug. He just started really really kissing too with a great big "MMMMMhha!" which I love. When I put him down for a nap or at bed time he cuddles up on my shoulder and he twists my hair around his fingers. And when he finally gets to hug me after missing me he lays his head on my shoulder and lets out a big sigh like "Aaaahh...finally" it's the best :)
