i recently heard of cord clamping/cutting delaying...I am leaning toward cord blood banking because I wasn't able to do it with my DD and feel that if I bank it - it will be there if either of them need it? any thoughts?Answer Question
We have banked both of our kids cord blood and will be banking baby #3 soon as well. If you can afford it go for it. It has given us a little piece of mind because after the birth of our second child we found out he is at a higher risk for leukemia at least we know we have done all we can do to help if it, heaven forbid is needed.

I've research the pro and cons of cord banking. The cons are its expensive and the odds your going to use it are nil. It makes sense if you have an older child with a diagnosed genetic condition but not for healthy people. I donated mine.
