  • My son has been wearing size 4 Luvs since he was...oh, probably by 9 months? Don't remember for sure, but he was a little tub of lard and now he's a skinflint - I know it's been well over a year and a half in the same size for him! (he wore 5s for a couple months, around 15-18 months, then started walking and got taller & skinnier).

  • 9 months. I can still make size 3's fit if I have to, as long as they have stretchy tabs. He is almost 18mo old now and still wears size 4's. His dad prefers to use the size 5's, but they are still too big on his bum.

  • He'll fit in a size 3 still, but we put him in size four for leaks. He is 15 months.

  • I've had children wear a size 4 diaper anywhere from 6-8 months but it depends on their size of their bumper and thighs. Then I've had them go from size 5 back to size 4 when they started walking and growing. Each child is different. You will know when they need to change sizes. Leaks happen. The waste becomes too tight. Different brands are sized just a little bit differently too.
