  • Is the man-made light of the earth enough to be seen light years away? If so, what percentage increase in earth brightness is caused by the cultures that use Christmas lights.

I imagine that if there are alien astronomers who are able to detect the infinitesimal increase in light from the Christmas season that they are probably informed enough to determine the source of the light.

  • blah, blah, BLAH anon:56

way to damper a good laugh, sour puss!

I think that they are looking at us and laughing this time of year, b/c of all the pollution, and unnecessary energy eating our planet away.

  • I think that they are sorrowful for us and also intrigued. We live in sin and yet there are those among us that are going to be saved. Maybe they do laugh because maybe they have better technology, and just want to tell us hey do this and BAM now it's better/faster/stronger. Or maybe they are behind us technologically. so maybe they are in awe. Either way the christmas lights are pretty :)

Make sure you stake them down very well or the local teenagers (or adults with the mentality of teenagers) will make sure mating season hits early.
