Is it safe to use ice packs to numb back pain during pregnancy and labour?

also other types of pain such as leg cramps...sore neck etc?

  • Yes its totally safe. I would just make sure you have a towl between the packs and your skin. You can probably ask the hospital staff for ice duringl labor but I've never heard of that right there in the hospital. But ice works for all the other stuff you've mentioned. I actually suggest a heating pad for the leg cramps but thats just me. Hope this is helpful. Have a good day
