supper ideas please help!

ok the other day at the store i bought already made sauces from buitoni, a pesto sauce and an alfredo sauce. i planned tonight to make fettucine but unfortunately the only noodles i have are spaghetti, rotini or mastocci rigati. which sauce would blend best with which noodle? and any serving suggestions other than bread and salad to go with it? thank you!

  • I think the Alfredo would go best with rotini. I think the pesto would go best with spaghetti.

  • any one of the noodles would be fine, usually the heavier the meat your putting in the heavier the noodle..ie if you put shrimp use the spag. if you use sausage use the rotini, what about some salad or grilled asparagus to go with, less carbs--LOL!

  • use the rotini for the alfredo sauce. you can add some chix or shrimp, top with cheeze and buttered breacrumbs and bake- that sounds good. as for sides- fruit salad, spinach

  • I'd go with the pesto sauce on any of the pastas you have. Just about anything goes with pasta--chicken (breaded or baked), tuna salad, steak (cubes or strips), veggies--peas, carrots, green beans etc. (mixed or on the side). :O)
